General Policies
All shows are held rain or shine. Parking is free of charge. No cans, glass, coolers, food or beverages, fireworks, recording devices or weapons of any kind are allowed into the building from the outside.
Guest Conduct
The Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center strives to provide its guests with a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable atmosphere. Therefore, the North West Georgia Trade and Convention Center has established the following guidelines:
- Guests interfering with other guest's ability to enjoy the event may be removed.
- Any person who threatens or has the potential to threaten the safety of another within the NWGTCC will be ejected.
- Individuals who appear intoxicated will not be permitted in the building.
- Guests using verbally abusive or offensive language or inappropriate or unacceptable gestures may be ejected from the North West Georgia Trade and Convention Center
- All Children must stay under adult supervision within the licensed space. Children are not permitted in the public concourses unsupervised.

ADA Access
The NWGTCC observes and complies with all requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Wheelchair access is located at the lower entrance and a concrete incline ramp is available at the upper entrance. Disabled parking spaces are clearly indicated in the parking lot and are conveniently located close to the lower entrance. Should you require any specific needs, please contact your event manager in advance to make them aware as soon as possible and they will do all that they can to satisfy your request.
Advertising
All advertising for events within the NWGTCC shall use the facility logo in their marketing. They will provide to their sales manager for review in advance of ALL publications.
Animals
For the safety and comfort of all of our visitors, animals are not permitted in the NWGTCC except in conjunction with an approved exhibit, display or performance which requires the use of an animal. Customers of the Center are responsible for obtaining all appropriate permits and for attending animals at all times while in the building. Only ADA certified animals (as defined by law) are permitted in the NWGTCC. All sanitary needs for animals are the responsibility of the Guest.
Parties intending to bring animals into the NWGTCC must submit a written request and explanation of the need for animals inside the building prior to the event date.

Bands and DJs
The NWGTCC welcomes outside Bands and DJs for events at the facility. Please keep the following regulations in mind:
- Bands and DJs must provide their own sound equipment. They cannot utilize the building’s house sound system.
- Any power requirements for sound equipment exceeding 120V will be charged according to prevailing rates.
- Smoke machines and foggers – require advance notice to the NWGTCC. Oil based fog machines are strictly prohibited. Should fog set off a NWGTCC fire alarm, the cost will be $500 and use the machine will be terminated
Box Office
The NWGTCC manages and carries out all aspects of ticketing the events in the facility including all related ticketing functions.
Catering
Catering is an exclusive service to the NWGTCC. All food and beverage during events will be provided by our in-house catering department. No outside food or beverage is permitted. The catering department is professional, thorough and provides excellent quality catering services for events at the NWGTCC. For menus, follow this link
Decorations
The NWGTCC welcomes outside decorators into the building. It is the responsibility of the event planner that has contracted with the building to make sure that outside decorators adhere to the following guidelines:
- Candles – Open flames are not permitted at the NWGTCC. Any flame must be contained within a ‘hurricane’ or protective container that will prevent any accidents
- Confetti – is not permitted at the NWGTCC.
- Helium Balloons – The use of helium balloon is not preferred at the NWGTCC. Should you choose to use helium balloons, there will be a $100 charge to retrieve any helium balloons from the ceiling and/or rafters.
- Damages – Attachment of decorations to any wall, ceiling, or fixture in the NWGTCC is not permitted. The use of staples, nails or duck tape is strictly forbidden. Any damages to the building will be assessed and repair charges will be charged to the event planner that has contracted with the building.
- Clean up – excessive clean up required at the close of the event may result in labor charges.
Distributing Leaflets or Brochures
Distribution of any printed materials or selling of any items is prohibited on the North West Georgia Trade and Convention Center grounds, including the parking lots, walkways, and inside the Astroturf Arena without proper advanced permission granted.
Exhibitors
- Exhibitor services can and should be ordered well in advance of the event in the building. The NWGTCC offers services for, electric, telecommunications, data services, rigging services (sign hanging) and mechanical services (air, water and drain)
- Tenting – any ceiling that is created within the building by an exhibitor must be certified as fire retardant. All tented exhibits or decorations must furnish proof that the fabric is fire retardant and must keep a fire extinguisher within the tented area.
- Sampling guidelines for exhibitors at the NWGTCC are as follows:
· SAMPLES MUST BE 2 oz – 4 oz, ALCOHOL NO GREATER THAN 1 oz
· Any alcohol that is to be sampled must be poured by an employee of the NWGTCC (fees are involved).
· Exhibitors may only sample if they manufacture the product (a mattress company cannot hand out popcorn)
· Generally speaking, no packaged item (bottle water, candy bar etc…) will be permitted as a sample
· In the case of any of the above – exhibitor must sign a waiver form and in the case of alcohol – fees for the attendant will be charged
Loading Dock Specifications
The NWGTCC loading specifications allow for easy access to the exhibit hall floor for vendors. There are 2 ground level doors that allow for direct access from the parking lot. One door is located at the northwest corner of Exhibit Hall I (can accommodate a tractor trailer) and the other is located at the southeast corner of Exhibit Hall II. Both gain access from the perimeter road that circles the facility. Dimensions of these doors and other doors which lead to the Exhibit Halls are as follows:

Lost and Found
Lost items found by the trade center are turned into our security department. Items are logged by security according to the time they are found. The NWGTCC will not be responsible for any personal items that are lost or stolen.

Merchandising
All merchandising must be presented to the NWGTCC for approval in advance of the event. No merchandising will be permitted without prior authorization.
Security
The NWGTCC provides security on a 24hour basis for facility purposes. The security of the licensed space is the responsibility of the licensee. The NWGTCC reserves the right to determine the security needs for all events.
Smoking
The Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center is a smoke free facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the facility by any guest or employee. However, there are smoking areas designated outside the building.
Underage drinking
All persons who are identified as being under the age of 21 and in possession of alcohol will be taken to the security office, and their actions will be treated as a violation of the law. The appropriate law enforcement agencies will be notified and the person will be banned from the building.
Vehicles
Vehicles on display inside the NWGTCC shall have no more than 1/4 tank of gasoline, the battery must be disconnected. A protective floor covering must be placed under the vehicle to protect the flooring from any leakage.
